Moonglow Relic is a small art studio devoted to turning beloved photographs into hand-painted keepsakes with a little storybook magic.
More than a printed photograph.
Every pet brings a special kind of light into our lives. Moonglow Relic was created from a desire to make portrait and memorial art feel intimate, meaningful, and uniquely yours, pieces that hold onto memory while bringing a touch of magic and mystery to your companion’s story.
Each portrait begins with your favorite reference photographs. I spend time studying the expressions, markings, and little quirks that make your pet unmistakably them, then draw and paint the portrait one brushstroke at a time. From there, I cut, paint, layer, and decorate the wooden elements by hand, adding small details that come together as a shadowbox keepsake designed around your companion.
Visible brushstrokes, texture, and small variations are part of the finished work. No two pieces are exactly alike, because no two companions, and no two memories, are exactly the same.
